    Since 1984, we’ve been serving Mount Vernon and surrounding communities with superior eye care. To become a new patient, it doesn’t matter where you live. We have patients who live in Ohio part-time and make their appointments when they’re home.

    We’ve proudly been in business for almost 35 years starting in 1984!!

    Does iCare offer emergency services?

    Yes, and we’re on-call 24/7 for emergency treatment of eye injuries and infections.

    How many doctors does iCare have on staff?

    We have two highly skilled and compassionate optometrists on staff: Dr. Dave Wineland and Dr. Sara Sanders.

    How many licensed opticians does iCare have on staff?

    We have five licensed opticians on staff who are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the care and longevity of your vision. Altogether, our team can provide you with 130 years of combined experience and knowledge.

    Our Eye Exams & Services

    What does a healthy eye exam entail?

    Our healthy eye exam is extremely comprehensive in nature.

    During a healthy eye exam, the doctor usually assesses:

    • External eye health related to lids, lashes and tears
    • Internal eye health related to retina, macula, iris and other parts of the eye
    • Refraction test results to determine what power prescription you’ll need for glasses or contacts
    • Eye focus tests for reading and sustained near work
    • Eye pressure test results to determine if you have or are at risk for glaucoma
    • Eye muscle control and coordination studies related to lazy eye and other conditions

    What eye diseases does iCare Vision’s disease treatment cover?

    Our disease treatment covers a wide scope of conditions. We diagnose and treat the following conditions and diseases:

    What ages are seen for iCare Vision’s pediatric eye exams?

    We see children within their first year of life all the way to age 18. We are extremely passionate about a child’s vision, as it can change suddenly and frequently. We see to it that your child’s vision is thoroughly assessed and they find the experience fun and engaging.

    How do I begin computer vision treatment?

    If you feel you’re a good candidate for computer vision treatment, simply schedule a healthy eye exam to have your vision thoroughly assessed. This way, our doctors know exactly what issues you’re contending with and can develop an individualized and effective treatment plan for you.

    Becoming a New Patient

    Are you accepting new patients?

    Yes, we’re accepting new patients of all ages and encourage the entire family to come in and ensure their vision is supporting their living, working, and learning needs.

    How do I become a new patient?

    At iCare Vision, becoming a new patient is easy. Of course, like any medical or doctor’s office, we do require a few forms to be filled out so we can collect your medical history, personal information and insurance details.

    We offer three options for completing new patient forms:

    • Complete them online.
    • Download forms below and bring the completed documents with you to your first appointment.
    • Arrive at your first appointment 15 minutes early to complete the forms.

    The first part of this form asks you to provide basic information about yourself, such as name, occupation, address and phone number. The second part of the form asks for your vision and medical insurance information.
